Caffeine, sodium hyaluronate, peptides and ceramides add to its smoothing and puffiness-focused positioning.[1]
You can expect better hydration and temporarily less pronounced dehydration lines, not a physical lift of drooping eyelids or treatment of every cause of dark circles.
What it claims
Beverly Hills MD positions Total Recovery Night Eye Cream to smooth the look of crow’s feet, brighten dark circles, reduce the appearance of under-eye bags, and create a tighter, more lifted, open-looking eye area. The brand highlights hyaluronic acid, peptides, Arjuna plant extract, and its SYN®-EYE complex as the main technologies behind those claims.[1]
Claims vs. formula
The hydration and smoothing case is strong. Glycerin, petrolatum, dimethicone, caprylic/capric triglyceride, panthenol, sodium lactate, sodium PCA, sodium hyaluronate, ceramides, cholesterol, and phytosphingosine create a substantial humectant, occlusive, emollient, and barrier-support system. That architecture readily explains why the eye area can look smoother, less crepey, and more cushioned after regular use.
A 2024 review of common eye-cream ingredients found supportive evidence for hyaluronic acid, peptides, ceramides, caffeine, niacinamide, retinoids, and antioxidant vitamins across hydration, elasticity, wrinkle appearance, and other periorbital concerns, while also noting that eye-cream-specific clinical trials remain limited and difficult to compare.[2] That limitation matters here because Beverly Hills MD does not publish a controlled finished-product clinical trial for Total Recovery Night Eye Cream.
Caffeine, chrysin, N-hydroxysuccinimide, palmitoyl tripeptide-1, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, palmitoyl tripeptide-5, and the botanical extracts give the formula plausible pathways for puffiness, tone, and line appearance. A separate open-label clinical study of a different multi-ingredient eye cream containing caffeine, chrysin, peptides, botanicals, and vitamin C reported improvements in dark circles and puffiness, but that product and formula were not Total Recovery Night Eye Cream.[3]
Dark circles are especially important to keep in context because they are not one condition. Pigment, vascular visibility, edema, skin laxity, and shadowing from tear-trough anatomy can all contribute, and each responds differently to topical care.[4] A moisturizer can improve dehydration and some surface contrast, but it cannot correct every underlying cause.

The peptide system provides a reasonable anti-aging rationale, and clinical work on other peptide-containing eye creams shows that periorbital hydration, elasticity, and wrinkle appearance can improve with continued use.[5]
What remains unproven is a true lifting effect on drooping eyelid tissue from this finished cream. “More lifted” is best understood as an appearance outcome created by hydration, smoothing, reduced puffiness, and improved surface texture rather than a structural correction of eyelid position.

Dry, normal, combination, oily, and sensitive skin can all use the eye cream when a rich nighttime texture is acceptable.
