Bottom line
If you want a richer cream with a dewy finish and product-specific hydration data, Dynasty Cream offers useful Mid-Range value. If you prefer a matte texture or avoid honey-derived ingredients, choose another moisturizer.
If you want a moisturizer with a richer, dewy finish, Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream combines glycerin, niacinamide, squalane, several forms of hyaluronic acid and Ceramide NP. It offers more cushioning than a watery gel and has brand-published finished-product testing for hydration, glow and skin compatibility.
Its strongest fit is for skin that enjoys a moisturized, luminous finish. The cream is non-comedogenic tested, but that does not guarantee every acne-prone shopper will avoid breakouts. Its formula also contains honey extract, so it is not suitable if you avoid animal-derived ingredients.

What it claims
Beauty of Joseon describes Dynasty Cream as a deeply hydrating, makeup-friendly moisturizer with rice bran water, ginseng root water, niacinamide and squalane for a glass-skin glow. Its official page labels the product fragrance-free, alcohol-free, cruelty-free and non-comedogenic.[1]
The brand reports 24-hour hydration in a study of 20 participants, improved skin glossiness after four days in 20 participants, non-irritating sensitive-skin suitability from a three-day study of 33 participants, and non-comedogenic testing over four weeks in 22 participants. These are separate finished-product study summaries, not proof that the formula treats acne or that everyone will have the same degree of glow or hydration. The product page does not publish full protocols or the size of every reported change.[1]
Claims vs. formula
Glycerin is second in the full INCI and supplies core humectant support. Hydrogenated polydecene, squalane, butylene glycol dicaprylate/dicaprate, cetearyl olivate, sorbitan olivate and plant oils contribute a cushioned, moisture-retaining finish. These functions give the product’s immediate plumping and dewy appearance a credible formulation basis.
Niacinamide is listed fifth and supports a broader barrier and texture rationale. Research on topical nicotinamide shows improvements in epidermal lipid synthesis and reduced water loss, but that study did not test Dynasty Cream or establish the concentration of niacinamide in this product.[2]
Hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate provide related water-binding components. Ceramide NP and hydrogenated lecithin give the formula a barrier-lipid element. Scientific work on ceramide-containing products shows that ingredient presence alone is not enough to predict how efficiently the finished cream supports the outer skin barrier.[3]
Ginseng root water and rice bran water are relevant brand highlights, but the INCI does not reveal isolated effects or concentrations that establish anti-aging treatment from either extract. Likewise, the finished-product non-comedogenic test cannot guarantee freedom from breakouts in every routine.
Ingredients that matter
Glycerin and the hyaluronic-acid ingredients help provide water binding while hydrogenated polydecene, squalane and plant lipids support the richer texture. Niacinamide broadens the skin-conditioning story beyond basic moisture, but the immediate glossy finish can arise from emollients rather than permanent changes to skin structure.
Ceramide NP and hydrogenated lecithin contribute barrier-related ingredients; neither independently proves measurable barrier repair in this finished formula. Honey extract also appears in the verified INCI and is important if your shopper preferences exclude animal-derived materials.
The current ingredient list does not identify added fragrance, denatured alcohol or silicone-based texture ingredients. Fatty and other moisturizing components still influence the rich feel, so a gel moisturizer may better suit you if you dislike dewy creams.
Glycerin
If your skin feels dry or tight, glycerin helps your skin hold moisture. You don't need a high percentage or a separate serum when your moisturizer already works well.
Read the IngredientBriefNiacinamide
If your skin feels dry or uncomfortable, niacinamide can support hydration and reduce water loss in a well-formulated product. It also has evidence for uneven tone and visible oiliness, but…
Read the IngredientBriefSqualane
If your skin feels dry or rough, squalane can make it feel softer and smoother. You don't need a separate oil when your moisturizer already keeps your skin comfortable.
Read the IngredientBriefHyaluronic Acid
If your skin feels dry or tight, hyaluronic acid helps your skin hold moisture. You don't need several HA forms or a separate serum when your moisturizer already hydrates well.
Read the IngredientBriefWhat to expect in the short term
You get a richer cream with a smooth, moist-looking finish designed to layer under makeup. The company’s 24-hour hydration study gives direct support for its moisturizing focus, but the public results do not specify how much your own skin’s hydration would change.
What to expect over time
Regular use continues the formula’s humectant and emollient support. The brand’s short-term studies address glow, skin tolerance and comedogenic suitability, not long-term wrinkle reversal, treatment of acne or permanent lifting.
If you find the finish too rich, using a smaller amount can improve comfort; the brand specifically recommends less product for oily or blemish-prone skin. If you need a matte feel, consider a lighter gel rather than assuming this cream will change your skin’s oil production.
Who it fits
This is particularly relevant if your skin is dry, normal or combination with dry patches and you prefer a creamy, dewy finish. Sensitive and acne-prone shoppers have some exact-product tolerability and non-comedogenic study information to consider, although neither outcome is a zero-irritation or zero-breakout guarantee.
If your skin is oily but you enjoy a dewy finish, the brand recommends applying about half a pea-sized amount. If you favor a weightless, matte moisturizer, another texture is likely more comfortable.[1]
Beauty of Joseon explicitly calls the product cruelty-free. Because the current INCI contains honey extract, do not consider Dynasty Cream vegan. A cruelty-free claim addresses animal-testing practices, not whether the formula contains animal-derived ingredients.
Compare before you buy
Choose Dynasty Cream when you want a Mid-Range richer moisturizer, a dewy finish and exact-product hydration and sensitive-skin study summaries. The presence of niacinamide, squalane and ceramide adds formulation breadth, while the product’s main everyday job remains moisturizing.
Choose a lightweight gel-cream if oiliness or dislike of a shiny finish is your priority. Choose a honey-free formula if animal-derived ingredients are incompatible with your preferences. The non-comedogenic claim does not turn this cream into acne treatment.
Final Assessment
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream provides useful Mid-Range value if you want cushioned, dewy hydration with brand-published studies addressing moisture, glow and tolerability. It is a reasonable option for dry, normal or combination skin that prefers richer texture, but the limited study detail, potential heaviness for oily skin and animal-derived honey extract are important distinctions before you buy.
