IMAGE Skincare Launches VOL.U.LIFT™ BODY for Skin Changes After Weight Loss

IMAGE Skincare has launched VOL.U.LIFT™ BODY GLP-1/GIP Sculpt + Firm Treatment Complex, an $85 body treatment aimed at visible skin changes that can follow rapid weight loss. The product is available through IMAGE Skincare and participating providers.[1]

The GLP-1 label is what makes the launch notable. For shoppers, the more useful question is whether this formula offers something meaningfully different from a good firming and moisturizing body treatment.

What launched

IMAGE Skincare positions VOL.U.LIFT™ BODY for concerns including crepiness, dehydration, loss of tone, sagging-looking skin, and contour changes after rapid weight loss, aging, or GLP-1/GIP use. The brand also markets it to people preparing to begin GLP-1/GIP therapy.[1]

Highlighted ingredients include Marine Bioactive, Heptapeptide-7, bakuchiol, blackberry extract, HA Silanol, and coffee arabica seed oil. The formula also uses IMAGE Skincare’s XOSM® delivery system, which the company says carries antioxidants including ectoin, vitamin C, and astaxanthin-rich microalgae. The product is described as fragrance-free and non-comedogenic.[1]

Why it matters

Major weight loss can make loose, crepey, or less cushioned-looking skin more noticeable. A topical body treatment can improve hydration and surface texture, but it cannot replace lost fat or restore deeper body volume.

That distinction matters as more brands use “GLP-1 skin” as a product category. Many of the concerns being marketed around GLP-1 use are also familiar after significant weight loss from other causes and with aging.

What we know

The launch announcement confirms the price, availability, highlighted ingredients, and product positioning. It does not publish finished-product clinical results for VOL.U.LIFT™ BODY.[1]

IMAGE Skincare references a 12-week in vivo study involving people who had experienced rapid weight loss, but the published study evaluated the brand’s facial VOL.U.LIFT™ product, not the new body treatment. The study enrolled 33 adults and 29 completed it. It reported improvements in measures including hydration, firmness, elasticity, wrinkles, and facial skin and subcutaneous thickness.[2]

That research is relevant background for the VOL.U.LIFT™ line, but it does not establish that VOL.U.LIFT™ BODY produces the same results.

What we’re watching

The main missing piece is body-specific finished-product testing. If IMAGE Skincare releases it, the useful questions will be simple: who was studied, where the product was used, what changed, and whether the improvement was large enough to matter to shoppers.

We are also watching whether “GLP-1 skincare” develops into a genuinely distinct formulation category or remains mostly a new label for familiar concerns such as dryness, crepiness, and loss of firmness after weight loss.
