Allies of Skin Launches Peptint Peptide Lip Treatment
Allies of Skin is entering lip care with Peptint Tripeptide & Goji Cells Plumping Lip Treatment, a $39 treatment-gloss hybrid scheduled to launch August 26.[1]
The interesting part is not the celebrity campaign around it. Peptint joins a growing group of lip products that promise both shine and skincare-style benefits, and Allies of Skin is backing the launch with a finished-product dryness claim.
What launched
Peptint is a glossy lip treatment formulated with palmitoyl tripeptide-1, rose cells, and goji berry cells. Allies of Skin describes it as a hydrating and plumping treatment designed to combine high shine with longer-term lip-care benefits.[1]
The product will launch in three versions—Fearless, Utopia, and Nirvana—and will be sold for $39 through Allies of Skin, Revolve, and select retailers beginning August 26. The brand introduced the product at an August 21 event in Los Angeles and named singer-songwriter Amber Mark as the face of the campaign.[1]
Why it matters
Lip treatments increasingly blur the line between balm, gloss, and skincare. That makes the finished formula more important than any one peptide or botanical ingredient.
For shoppers, the question is whether Peptint delivers enough conditioning and comfort to justify a $39 price—not simply whether it contains ingredients with a compelling skincare story.
What we know
Allies of Skin says Peptint produced a 99% improvement in the appearance of lip dryness and cracking after one use. The company says that result comes from an independent clinical study involving 30 people.[1]
That is more useful than an ingredient-only claim, but the public announcement does not provide enough detail to judge the result fully. It does not explain the measurement method, baseline severity, comparator, statistical analysis, or how the 99% figure was calculated.
The claim should therefore stay tied to the finished product. It does not establish that palmitoyl tripeptide-1, rose cells, or goji berry cells independently produced the improvement.
What we’re watching
The complete ingredient list will help show what is doing the everyday conditioning work in the formula, including the emollients, occlusives, humectants, and film-formers that often matter most in a lip treatment.
BB will also be watching for fuller clinical documentation. At $39, Peptint sits well above basic lip balms and many treatment glosses, so the useful question is whether the complete formula and finished-product evidence justify the premium.
