AXIS-Y Launches Triple PDRN Barrier Boost Serum With Plant-Derived PDRN
AXIS-Y has announced the Triple PDRN Barrier Boost Serum, a recovery-focused serum built around what the brand calls Triple Berry PDRN, NAD+, peptides, and dissolving “Golden Peptide Threads.” The serum is scheduled to become available August 24.[1]
The launch is notable because it brings two increasingly visible skincare claims—plant-derived PDRN and topical NAD+—into the same formula. For shoppers, the key question is simpler: does calling something PDRN mean it performs like the salmon-derived materials already associated with that name?
What launched
AXIS-Y describes the serum as a formula for stressed skin barriers. The brand says visible “Golden Peptide Threads” dissolve during application and deliver a combination of Triple Berry PDRN, NAD+, and peptides.[1]
Instead of salmon-derived material, AXIS-Y says its PDRN alternative comes from blueberry, raspberry, and cranberry. The serum is also certified vegan by the Korea Vegan Certification Institute, according to the company.[1]
Why it matters
PDRN has moved quickly into mainstream skincare marketing, but products using the term may rely on very different source materials and technologies.
That makes the source important. A plant-derived material should not be assumed to behave the same way as salmon-derived PDRN simply because both are marketed under the PDRN name. The finished formula and the evidence behind the specific material matter more than the label alone.
What we know
AXIS-Y reports that testing by Human Skin Clinical Trial Center Co., Ltd. found a 5.66% improvement in post-procedure skin soothing and a 17.47% improvement in post-procedure skin moisture-barrier condition. The company identifies the testing as report HM-R26-0609, dated June 19, 2026.[1]
Those are finished-product results, which are more useful than ingredient-only claims. But the public announcement does not provide enough detail about participant count, study duration, controls, measurement methods, or the individual contribution of PDRN, NAD+, and peptides to judge the findings more broadly.
The results also do not establish that plant-derived PDRN is interchangeable with salmon-derived PDRN.
What we’re watching
BB will be watching for clearer technical documentation explaining what AXIS-Y’s Triple Berry PDRN actually is and how it compares with the salmon-derived materials used in existing PDRN research.
We are also watching for the complete ingredient list, product size, price, U.S. availability, and fuller clinical documentation. Until then, the launch is a useful sign that plant-derived PDRN is becoming a larger skincare claims category—not proof that every form of PDRN works the same way.
