Beverly Hills MD Launches ProRetinol Advanced Eye Complex

Beverly Hills MD has launched ProRetinol Advanced Eye Complex, a $99 nightly eye serum built around microencapsulated retinol and bakuchiol. The brand markets it for fine lines, crow’s feet, sagging-looking lids, dark circles, and puffiness.[1][2]

The eye-area claims are broad, which is what makes the launch worth a closer look. A retinol-based formula may make sense for fine lines and texture, but dark circles, hollowness, and puffiness can have very different causes.

What launched

ProRetinol Advanced Eye Complex is a 0.5 fl oz (15 mL) leave-on serum intended for nightly use around the eyes. Beverly Hills MD lists a one-time price of $99, with lower pricing through membership and multi-unit purchases.[1]

The formula includes microencapsulated retinol, bakuchiol, niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, bisabolol, allantoin, and hexylresorcinol. Beverly Hills MD does not disclose the retinol concentration.[1]

Why it matters

Retinol eye treatments are common. What is less common is asking one product to address wrinkles, sagging-looking lids, dark circles, hollowness, and puffiness at the same time.

Those concerns do not all respond to skincare in the same way. Retinol can support a formula aimed at fine lines and texture, while hydrating ingredients can make the eye area look temporarily smoother. Dark circles, hollowness, and puffiness may also be tied to pigmentation, visible blood vessels, anatomy, fluid retention, or volume loss.

What we know

Beverly Hills MD says its microencapsulation system is designed to release retinol gradually. The formula also includes glycerin, sodium hyaluronate, allantoin, bisabolol, trehalose, and betaine to support hydration and skin comfort.[1]

The brand recommends a pea-sized amount at night and suggests using the metal applicator around the under-eye area, eyelids, and between the brows. Chilling the tube is also suggested for a cooling effect.[1]

What we’re watching

The main missing piece is finished-product evidence. Beverly Hills MD uses broad efficacy language and customer testimonials, but the public materials do not provide enough detail about participant numbers, controls, measured outcomes, or study methods to judge those claims independently.[2]

The undisclosed retinol concentration also makes it harder to compare this serum with other retinol eye treatments. For shoppers, the key question is whether the complete formula delivers enough visible benefit to justify a $99 price—not simply whether retinol and bakuchiol appear on the ingredient list.
